I’m Kayla Bennett, founder of The Garden Room Flower, Co. My professional background is in social work and criminal defense. My journey with flowers began during a period of burnout, when I discovered a neighborhood flower shop in Brooklyn, NY. I was hired as a floral assistant and as I began making arrangements and working in the garden I found that being surrounded by plants and flowers was profoundly healing. This led me to explore horticultural therapy, taking classes and immersing myself in the ways nature can restore and nurture the human spirit. The name “The Garden Room Flower Co.” evokes that feeling we’ve all experienced in plant-filled spaces — where sunlight spills across leaves, seeps through golden windows and settles the soul. My mission is simple: to share the restorative power of flowers and plants, creating arrangements that brighten homes, lift spirits, and reconnect people with the quiet beauty of nature. 

While still working full time as a capital mitigation specialist, I run a small floral operation out of my home for floral subscriptions and special events. Contact me for availability. I look forward to working with you!
